Twenty-two staff, eleven vans, one yard in Limassol, and no subcontractors on your site.
Come and meet usPetros Charalambous spent six years servicing other people’s pools before starting The Pool Guys in 2014, largely out of frustration at how many of them had been built badly and then neglected. The company started as one van and a trailer. It is now twenty-two people, and Petros still surveys every new build himself.
We do not subcontract. The crew that digs your pool works for us, the technician who services it afterwards works for us, and the person who answers the phone can see both of their notes. That is the only reliable way we have found to keep quality consistent and to actually own a problem when one appears.
Our customers kept asking what to buy and where. Rather than send them to a hardware store to guess, we stock exactly what we use ourselves, at trade-adjacent prices, with someone on the end of the phone who knows what a stabiliser lock is. It has become a genuine part of the business.

Plans renewed each year

“They engineered an infinity pool on a slope three other builders told us was impossible, and they finished a week early. Five years on it still looks like it was filled yesterday.”
“The weekly reports are what sold me. I get photos, the chemical readings and a note of anything that needs watching, so I never have to guess whether the pool was actually serviced.”
“Six weeks on a live rooftop, between seasons, with guests in the building. They found a leak two other contractors missed and we reopened ahead of schedule.”
“Our children were three and five when the pool went in. The shallow shelf and the slatted cover meant we never had to think twice about the garden door being open.”
“They rebuilt our filtration hall and cut our electricity bill almost in half. The dosing logs alone have made our compliance paperwork painless.”
“A hydrotherapy pool you cannot hear from the next room. The plant room detailing was better than the specification we asked for.”
“Called them on a Sunday when the pump packed up before a party. Someone was in the garden within two hours with the right seal kit on the van.”
“I order chemicals from their shop every month and they arrive next day, correctly dosed for the size of my pool. No more guesswork at the hardware store.”

Water chemistry
Weekly, monthly or only after a party? The honest answer depends on three numbers, and none of them is on the back of the bucket.

Equipment
Salt chlorination is gentler on skin and cheaper to run, but the cell replacement cost and our hard water change the maths.

Maintenance
Losing more than a centimetre a day is not evaporation. Here is how to tell a real leak from a hot week before you call anyone.

Renovation
A week-by-week walkthrough of a three week resurfacing job, including the parts that surprise people.

Seasonal
Do these in order in March and you will spend the summer swimming rather than fighting algae.
