What a full pool renovation actually involves

Week one: strip out and survey

Draining, removing old tile or liner and taking the shell back to sound render. This is when hidden problems surface, so we hold a contingency in every renovation quote rather than pretending they never happen.

Week two: shell and services

Re-rendering, new penetrations for returns and lights, and any pipework replacement while the pool is empty and accessible. Getting the pipework right now is what stops you doing this again in five years.

Week three: finish, fill and balance

Tiling or lining, coping, grouting, then a slow fill and three to five days of chemistry work before the pool is genuinely ready to swim in. Refilling fast and swimming the same afternoon is how new surfaces get ruined.
