Rooftop Pool Refurbishment, Limassol
A full strip-out and rebuild of a 20 metre rooftop hotel pool, delivered in six weeks between seasons without closing the floors below.
The brief
The hotel was losing water at roughly nine cubic metres a week and could not find the source. The pool also had to reopen before the first charter arrivals in April, which gave us a fixed six week window on a live rooftop.
What we did
Pressure testing traced two failed returns and a cracked skimmer throat. We stripped the pool back to the shell, re-rendered it, laid new porcelain tile, replaced every penetration and rebuilt the plant room with twin variable-speed pumps so the hotel is never fully down for service.
The result
Reopened four days early with measured water loss down to evaporation only. Energy use across the pool plant dropped by just under a third against the previous season.
